Speakers: - Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General of Health – health update ### Ministry of Health Update: - 39 new confirmed, 28 probable cases, 67 total new cases - 176 recovered cases - 1106 total cases - 13 in hospital, 1 ICU in critical condition - 2846 is the 7 day rolling average - 40,000 tests completed so far - Marist cluster is now 72 cases - 62 cases at Bluff wedding - 58 cases in Matamata - Now a national electronic platform for contact tracing. - 43 per cent total cases are connected to overseas travel, 38 per cent are close contacts of those cases, **2 per cent as community transmission**. The rest are under investigation - **Yesterday the community transmission percentage was 1%, so a 100% increase**…is this the second wave? - For comparison, yesterday was reported as 1% of 1039 or 10 cases.
