The website was launched eight months ago and its existence was announced on [Reddit.](https://www.reddit.com/r/newzealand/comments/bkt3nt/introducing%5Fpolitikiwi%5Fa%5Fpolling%5Faggregation%5Fand/?utm%5Fmedium=android%5Fapp&utm%5Fsource=share) It began as a personal project for 19-year-old software engineer Robert Calvert’s portfolio.
