It doesn’t matter how ethnically diverse your business is;

of suppliers to **HealthSource** must have “**at least 50% Maori ownership**“or be “a Maori Authority as defined by the Inland Revenue Department.”

5% of suppliers if they want to supply the government must have Business partners from **only one ethnic group**. If the business owner is not Maori then they will need to give half their business to a person or persons who are. This is a tall order given that Maori make up such a small percentage of the New Zealand population. Not to mention the fact that it is a racist and discriminatory stipulation taking away a business owner’s freedom to pick their business partner or partners based on suitability and experience rather than race.

Don’t you just love the euphemism “**progressive procurement**.” that they use to describe this discriminatory and racist requirement?”
