> Steve and Gail Webster can now call themselves Kiwis after being notified on Wednesday by Nelson MP Nick Smith they had finally been granted New Zealand residency.

> Smith, who had advocated for the family throughout their process, was told of the decision by Associate Minister of Immigration Poto Williams.

> Smith said he was delighted the decision had gone in their favour.
