Avi Yemini from the *Rebel Media* is currently in Hong Kong seeing up close and personal what fighting for democracy looks like. He says that he has never seen anything quite like it before. In his e-mail to followers he described dodging barricades and diving into enormous gatherings of pro-freedom protesters as “an exhilarating and emotional experience” and one he will never forget.

> I’ve been here for three days — I’m here for one more — and I think I’ve got to the bottom of what’s going on: **The Hong Kong people are *literally* crying out for liberty from the tyranny of China**.

> I even bumped into Albert Ho, former chairman of the Hong Kong Democratic Party — he told me something quite alarming about the disproportionate use of *“violence”* by the police.

> **And with** **the Chinese army amassing by the thousands in Shenzhen on the boundary with Hong Kong**, Albert also spoke out, urging Trump to warn China *not* to use “violence in Hong Kong causing bloodshed”.

In the video, Albert Ho the former chairman of the Hong Kong Democratic party said that “this is going to be a long-term struggle” for the people of Hong Kong.

More new media outlets like the *Rebel Media* need to stand with the people of Hong Kong and tell the world about their brave fight for basic human rights.
