Recently, I was reading an article at an informational blog site I visit first thing every morning, and then a few more more times throughout each and every day.

[Here’s the link to that article at the JoNova site in Australia](https://joannenova.com.au/2026/10/carbon-credits-to-turn-into-general-communist-fiat-currency-to-stop-storms-help-indigenous-people-jobs-frogs-picnic-spots-whatever/?ref=goodoil.news). The article was along the lines of what Joanne writes about every day at her site, how climate change is most definitely NOT what what the hype tells us it is all about (and, um, that’s my attempt to put it politely) and she also writes extensively on the subject I’ve also been writing about since March of 2008 (more than 16 years now) and that’s how renewable power will never replace the traditional sources of constant and reliable electrical power generation we have had for so long now, and that those two preferred forms of renewable power generation, wind power and solar power (both industrial solar power plants and rooftop solar power) are enormously expensive sources of power generation that also don’t live up to the hype we are so constantly told about.

That article at her site I was reading was about how climate credits have now *‘morphed’* into something else, now that all that hype about climate change has suddenly become something that is not mentioned as often as it once was. Even though governments are not talking about it anywhere near as much as they used to, they still need a way to *‘keep the money flowing’*, so they are artfully finding new ways and means to *‘rebrand’* that climate money.

In her article, there was a shortish analogy of how the government goes about doing something like this, and the way it was explained sort of simplified the whole process really... and, when you really think about it, isn’t this exactly how government works?

Joanne used a sandwich as an example.

> The simplicity of a real free market makes us so much more productive.
>
> Imagine buying a sandwich. You walk into a shop, hand over $12, and leave with lunch. Nobody needs to know whether your sandwich contributes to regional employment, supports biodiversity, advances cultural reconciliation or aligns with Australia’s 2050 emissions targets. You just wanted a sandwich.
>
> But imagine if the government bought your sandwich for you. Suddenly there’s a departmental working group, a consultation period, an indigenous engagement strategy, a biodiversity impact assessment, and a $400,000 consultancy to determine whether the mayonnaise delivers value for money.
>
> Six months later, the sandwich costs $87, nobody can remember who ordered it, and the department announces a successful outcome because the lettuce was culturally inclusive.
>
> Meanwhile, the competing sandwich shop has spent $60,000 on a tender application and hired a lawyer to find out why it lost.

Sort of says it all really!
