Somebody better tell **Mel Brooks**: *The Producers* is cancelled. So is his hit record from 1983, *To Be Or Not To Be*.

Because Nazi jokes are officially banned, now.

To the dumb hammers of wokeness, everything is a Nazi nail. Except of course, when their own high priests do it.

The whole furore is a ridiculous storm-in-a-teacup, so naturally [the mainstream media are going all-in on the lie](https://goodoil.news/ferald-stoops-lower-than-ever/) that it was a ‘Nazi salute’.

Musk rightly mocked the pearl-clutching liars and fainting aunts.

Only a decade ago, uber-right-on Monash university student magazine, ***Lot’s Wife***, [celebrated those gags](https://lotswife.com.au/thats-our-hitler-hilarity-and-heil-ing-in-mel-brooks-the-producers/?ref=goodoil.news) as, *Heil-arious!! Nazi-shabby!! Swas-ticklingly good!!*

And it was only five years ago that the painfully woke **Taika Waititi** yukked it up as Hitler in *Jojo Rabbit*.

So are you, Mel. And you, **Ernst Lubitsch** and **Jack Benny**, for both of you having the hide to make Nazi comedies even as Jews were being slaughtered in 1942\. Classic TV comedy *Hogan’s Heroes*? Gone, gone, gone. *La Vita è Bella* and **Roberto Benigni**? Ooh, you are *so* cancelled.

That’s how it works, these days, apparently.
