I see a nation of people, who have faltered and lost their wayWhose forefather's died for their freedom, so other's could give it away?A people who put their differences aside, while making the world a better placeNow lost through social dissension, our history twisted into a form of disgraceThis beautiful land is losing all of its splendor, covered by more than a cloudby those shouting out for their rights, understandably - but why is it always so loud?You could once make your point or even argue, without fear of being put to shameThe politically correct now noting every word, and ready to apportion blameWith 'hate speech' laws around the corner, you wonder where it might endThose making most of these changes, these new rules will conveniently bendI look to the past and sigh, like memories of a best friend recently lostAs we as a people are redefined, with scant regard for the cost...
