Yes, you guessed it this is another subscription promo for The BFD.

Contrary to what some may believe, we cannot exist on fairy dust and unicorn farts alone. We actually rely on our readers to [fund the content ](https://thebfd.co.nz/subscription-plans/?ref=goodoil.news)that you all enjoy so much.

We know that you are a fan of *The BFD* and that you enjoy our content and many of you already are subscribers, and we want to take this opportunity to **thank you all very much for your financial support of *The BFD*.** We are very grateful indeed for your support.

As a very new business starting from the ground up, your subscriptions are our lifeblood.

For those of you who have not yet [subscribed](https://thebfd.co.nz/subscription-plans/?ref=goodoil.news) to *The BFD* please show us your support by [subscribing](https://thebfd.co.nz/subscription-plans/?ref=goodoil.news) to us today. We need your support and as you have seen recently we are up against **state-funded media** – such as *Radio NZ* – who are keen to take us down.

We are the only News and Views website in New Zealand wholly [funded by our readers](https://thebfd.co.nz/subscription-plans/?ref=goodoil.news), and if we are to remain a permanent part of the media landscape we need more of our fans to put their money where our mouth is.

We **DO NOT** receive any funding from any political party apart from advertorials that are clearly labelled as such.

We have been smeared as an NZ First site just as the blog *Whaleoil* was smeared as being a National Party site. It is the exact same strategy being used by those who want to silence us as those who wanted to silence *Whaleoil* and who went as far as to hack it to do so.

We have battled to stay up against some very challenging odds and [we need your financial support](https://thebfd.co.nz/subscription-plans/?ref=goodoil.news) to keep doing what we do.

Please [subscribe](https://thebfd.co.nz/subscription-plans/?ref=goodoil.news) today if you value what we do and want us to keep doing it.
