But right from the get-go, Mahuta’s promises of cost to the consumer were fairy tales. You didn’t need a skilled lawyer as even the most useless MSM media hack should have been able to work that out.

When this nefarious scheme was first announced Mahuta was claiming that over a 30-year period her fancy new scheme would deliver water services at around 18.5% of the cost of retaining the status quo. Given that water services cost what they cost how were these magical savings going to eventuate? Oh, easy just allow the new entity to borrow over 800% of revenue as opposed to the council’s current limit of 250% and also by efficiency of scale….despite having to employ an additional 9000 people.

The shocking assault on democracy apart, this scheme can’t help but be an absolute disaster when you look at the incredibly clumsy management structure and even the fact that the areas are along tribal boundaries as opposed to catchments or even regional boundaries.

There can be no two ways about it the MSM are every bit as complicit in the lies, half-truths and distorted facts that this shocker of a Government has been foisting upon its, citizens.
