# The Price Paid for Making the World Great Again

Donald J Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, may well be written in history as the most censored, vilified, and ultimately *celebrated* public figure of the 21st Century.

**Nigel Farage**, the man behind the Brexit movement, recently addressed American voters:

> “When you vote next week, you are not just voting for who the President of the United States of America is … you are voting for the leader of the free world.”

> “You are voting for the only current leader in the free world who has got the guts to stand up and fight for the nation state, to fight for patriotism, to fight against globalism.”

Indeed, the importance of this election cannot be understated. As the whole world cowers in the shadow of an emerging global tyranny off the back of the most exaggerated flu season ever recorded, the Trump campaign really is the last defence for all of us.

Four years ago as a Presidential candidate, Trump informed America:

> “Our movement is about replacing a failed and corrupt – and when I say corrupt, I’m talking about totally corrupt – political establishment with a new government controlled by you the American people.”

> “The Washington Establishment, and the financial and media corporations that fund it, exist for only one reason, to protect and enrich itself. The Establishment has trillions of dollars at stake in this election.”

> “For those who control the levers of power in Washington, and for the global special interests – they partner with these people that don’t have your good in mind. **Our campaign represents a true existential threat, like they haven’t seen before.**”

And thus began the most relentless and underhanded smear campaign against a previously much-loved American icon, that we may ever live to witness.

David Brock – the right turned left-wing and former adversary turned ally of the Clinton crime family, is founder of the media lobbyist group *Media Matters*. In a [leaked document](https://freebeacon.com/politics/david-brock-memo-attack-trump/?ref=goodoil.news) from 2017, Brock set out his pitch to donors to establish a liberal counter-call to combat the conservative [Breitbart](https://www.breitbart.com/?ref=goodoil.news) news outlet – which Brock has blamed in part, for Trump’s successful election.

The leaked donor pitch, which ironically claimed *Media Matters* as being *The Top Watchdog Against Fake News and Propaganda*, was marked *Private & Confidential* and included the following gems:

> The conservative Media Research Center, with an annual operating budget of $18 million, works closely with establishment right-wing media to reinforce the **myth of a liberally biased media**, push journalism to the right, and propel misinformation into the mainstream.

> *Breitbart, which has received millions in funding from *extremist billionaires* close to the Trump*

> administration, provides a nexus point for the so-called alt-right (the newest branding for American white nationalism, anti-Semitism, and misogyny) to exploit vulnerabilities throughout

> the media landscape. With a powerful ally in the White House (former chief executive Steve Bannon will be Trump’s chief strategist), Breitbart plans to export its brand of **anti-establishment racism on a global scale**.

Since when has a ‘liberally biased media’ ever been a myth? And I thought all the ‘extremist billionaires’ of the world were [sponsoring Black Lives Matter racism](https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/13/us/politics/george-soros-racial-justice-organizations.html?ref=goodoil.news), [funding riots](https://www.breitbart.com/social-justice/2017/02/05/refuse-fascism-group-behind-berkeley-riot-funded-george-soros/?ref=goodoil.news) and peddling a so-called ‘pandemic’ while blaming the resulting mayhem on President Trump!

The document also lamented the techniques which were employed by the 2016 Trump campaign to circumvent the corrupt media establishment.

> Donald Trump uses his Twitter account to manipulate news cycles with lies; attack press outlets that produce critical stories about him; and share stories from fake news purveyors, conspiracy websites, and right-wing news outlets.

> “Trump TV” (the streaming news upstart Right Side Broadcasting) gives him a platform to bypass

> other news media and distribute programming directly to his supporters. (Trump TV will reportedly

> be present at White House press briefings even without traditional press credentials.)

> In a hyper-fragmented media environment, the right is aggressively exploiting vulnerabilities and finding new ways to poison the information ecosystem with lies.

A hyper-fragmented media environment in which social media platforms give rise to alternative news outlets and the phenomenon of [citizen journalism](https://goodoil.news/become-a-citizen-journalist/)? Jeepers! That sounds like every legacy media mogul’s worst nightmare.

> Over the next four years, Media Matters will focus on achieving the following outcomes:

> Serial misinformers and right-wing propagandists inhabiting everything from social media to the

> highest levels of government will be exposed.

> Internet and social media platforms, like Google and Facebook, will no longer uncritically and

> *without consequence host and enrich fake news sites and propagandists.*

> Toxic alt-right social media-fueled harassment campaigns that silence dissent and poison our

> national discourse will be punished and halted.

Ironically, after claiming that:

> Journalists who confront the extreme reality of a Trump administration experience personal

> harassment. Media outlets that hold him accountable may be subject to boycotts, enflamed \[*sic*\] by the

> president himself. Both risk access to government information and officials.

The document then declared that:

> Media Matters will be vigilant in holding news media accountable **for even the slightest bit of normalization of Trump**.

The document stipulated that a core budget $13.4 million covering 81 staff would be allocated for the year 2017.

But as the President told America in 2016:

> “They knew they would stop at nothing to try to stop me. Nevertheless, I take all of these slings and arrows gladly for you. I take them for our movement, so that we can have our country back.”

As Farage told the President’s supporters recently:

> “They have spent four years trying to delegitimise him – four years of the Russia hoax, four years of the false impeachment. Most human beings under that barrage, would have given up. This is the single most resilient, and bravest person I have ever met in my life.”

Indeed, after the legacy media’s silence over recent leaks cataloguing the Biden crime family’s exploits, those Americans who had yet to jump aboard the Trump Train, are now being welcomed aboard.

The outcome of this 2020 US Election will affect all of us.
