# The Public’s Fear of Nuclear Power

It seems the fear of nuclear power is in the physics of those who believe that every nuclear power plant has a big red button in a prominent location on a console somewhere, and if someone stumbles and accidentally pushes that button the entire plant and the surrounding countryside will disappear in a mushroom cloud.
