Environment Southland who recently [voted against declaring a ‘climate emergency’. ](https://www.stuff.co.nz/southland-times/113951238/southland-climate-emergency-motion-voted-down?ref=goodoil.news)The only other council to do so in New Zealand so far is Thames-Coromandel.
