- Description: Throwing a water bottle gets white Britons banged up for two, while rape gets immigrants a Get Out of Jail Free card.

Two high-profile (alleged!) crimes happened in Britain this week. In the first, a white Briton, peeved at his country being invaded by millions of low-IQ Third Worlders in rubber dinghies, slashed one such, abandoned by the invaders after the UK authorities had helpfully given them a free ride to the British welfare state. **Danny ‘Tommo’ Thomas** didn’t endanger a single person’s life: at worst, he cost the French government, who conveniently supply the dinghies to the invaders, a few francs. He might as well have burned a white flag in the Champs-Élysées, given the fury which followed. Tommo is currently detained in custody for, get this, ‘criminal damage’.

In the second crime, a woman heading home to her Oxfordshire village late at night inadvertently disturbed a group of ‘British nationals’ (translation: Muslims) in the midst of “preparing a terrorist act”. All five have been released on bail.

If you’re puzzled that the UK establishment will bang up a white (alleged) vandal without trial, while turning Muslim (alleged) terrorists loose, well, you haven’t been paying attention to Two-Tier Britain.

The state has abandoned all pretence of neutrality, choosing instead to suppress the native population’s dissent with the unbridled enthusiasm usually reserved for a summer fête. Rather than stemming the tide of the illicit flotillas, the machinery of governance focuses its full, crushing weight upon the locals who dare to object. Take the case of **Del Somerville**, who found himself on the wrong side of a two-year sentence for the grievous ‘offence’ of lobbing a plastic bottle during a Portsmouth demonstration.

> [This week,](https://www.spectator.com.au/2026/09/why-the-state-punishes-migration-protestors/?ref=goodoil.news) Del Somerville, a 42-year-old father of two, was sentenced to two years in prison for violent disorder at a protest in Portsmouth, which erupted after a ‘small’ boat carrying 114 migrants arrived in the city. The sentence is to serve as a deterrent to others following later protests in the area.

The judiciary has morphed into a moralising arm of the state, eager to judge the ‘political palatability’ of one’s grievances before passing down a sentence. To the presiding Judge **Daniel Sawyer**, Mr Somerville, a man who spends his time moored peacefully at a local marina, is a ‘thug’. One wonders if such colourful, class-laden descriptors are ever brandished when the accused happens to be a beneficiary of diversity, or if such vocabulary is strictly reserved for the indigene who objects to his neighbourhood being transformed into a Third World dumping ground.

The disparity is glaring. Contrast the treatment of protesters with the gentle, almost tender handling, of those deemed ‘diverse’ offenders. We see radicals who assault security guards with sledgehammers receiving commendations for their ‘kindness’ and ‘selfless nature’ from the bench, while sexual predators are routinely excused for being ‘unfamiliar’ with our laws or acting ‘out of character’.

> Earlier this month, an Algerian migrant avoided jail after molesting a 16-year-old girl in a London alleyway, after the defence argued that his actions were ‘out of character’. This follows the Syrian asylum seeker who last year also avoided jail for three sexual assaults in Horley, Surrey, who ‘claimed to be unfamiliar with UK laws regarding physical contact’.

Didn’t he [read the pamphlet](https://goodoil.news/if-they-have-to-be-taught-this-stuff-they-dont-belong-here/)? It had pictures and everything!

It is a curious sort of justice when the state worries excessively about the ‘cost to the public purse’ of policing a protest, yet seems entirely unbothered by the infinite drain on the taxpayer, not to say the infinite enormities perpetrated on British girls, by the illegal arrivals themselves. One suspects that asking a judge to comment on the fiscal burden of migration would trigger a frantic search through the *Equal Treatment Bench Book*, likely resulting in a stern rebuke for being insufficiently globalist.

This is the grim inheritance of ‘Two-Tier Keir’. The narrative is set by the highest office: if you are a white Briton expressing frustration at the erasure of your home, you are a ‘far-right thug’ and a legitimate target for judicial purgatory. If you are one of the ‘new arrivals’ or a radical ideologue, you are merely a victim of circumstances, to be handled with velvet gloves and a plea for compassion.

> The result is that in two-tier Britain, some protests are more equal than others.
>
> When the judiciary becomes a weapon to enforce a specific demographic and political outcome, it ceases to be a system of justice and becomes an instrument of occupation.

Mr Somerville sits in a cell for the crime of being a patriot who lost his temper, while the gates remain wide open for those who hold this nation in contempt, and view its young maidens as Koranically sanctioned ‘spoils of war’. It is a bleak, predictable reality, and it serves as a stark reminder that in the current climate, your loyalty to the soil of your birth is considered the greatest transgression of all.

Whether it is a bottle thrown in Portsmouth or a sign held in Rotherham, the message from the bench is clear: stay quiet, pay your taxes (somebody has to pay for the free hotels, mobile phones, and welfare) and watch your country disappear – or face the full, unadulterated wrath of a state that despises its own people.
