It appears little is happening in New Zealand at the moment other than Northland, Auckland and surrounding regions affected by the Cyclone Gabrielle. As of 9pm last night, [it was reported that 23,000 homes were without power](https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/tropical-cyclone-gabrielle-red-heavy-rain-and-wind-warnings-for-auckland-northland-coromandel-gisborne-orange-warnings-for-bay-of-plenty-waikato-hawkes-bay-wellington-and-other-north-island-regions/3A75DH6RGNF37O5RBDY763DAL4/?ref=goodoil.news). Northpower says repairing infrastructure may not be possible until the winds abate and so some may be without power for several days.
