# Who Did It Better?

Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

Here are some cover versions of one song along with the original, let us know in the comments which is your favourite, or if you don’t like any of them.

“I Can’t Control Myself” is a song written by Reg Presley and first released by The Troggs as a 1966 single.

It has been covered by several acts including:

Big Maybelle included it on her 1967 album “ “America’s Queen Mother Of Soul” Got A Brand New Bag”.

The James Baker Experience! released their take on a 1985 single.

The Buzzcocks included it on their 1991 album “Time’s Up”.

The Ramones on their 1993 album “Acid Eaters”.

Joan Jett and The Blackhearts on their 1998 album “Glorious Results Of A Misspent Youth”.
