Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

Here are some cover versions of one song along with the original, let us know in the comments which is your favourite, or if you don’t like any of them.

“Maybe I’m Amazed” is a song written by Paul McCartney and first released by him on his 1970 solo album “McCartney”.

It has been covered by many acts including:

Sandie Shaw as the B-Side to her 1971 single “Rose Garden”.

Faces included a live version on their 1971 album “Long Player”.

Petula Clarke on her 1971 album “The Song Of My Life”.

Wings included it on their 1976 live album “Wings Over America”.

Elkie Brooks on her 1989 album “Inspiration”.

Joe Cocker on his 2004 album “Heart and Soul”.

Billy Joel on his 2014 album “The Art Of McCartney”.
