# Who Did It Better?

Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

Here are some cover versions of one song along with the original, let us know in the comments which is your favourite, or if you don’t like any of them.

“Glad All Over” is a song written by Roy C. Bennett, Aaron Schroeder and Sid Tepper and was first recorded by Carl Perkins as a 1957 single.

It has been covered by several acts including:

The Searchers included their version on their 1964 album “It’s The Searchers”.

The Jeff Beck Group on the 1972 album “Jeff Beck Group”.

Freddie Falcon on his 1979 album “Blue”.

The Beatles on the 1994 compilation album of live BBC recordings from the 1960’s.

Brian Setzer on his 2005 album “Rockabilly Riot! Volume One – A Tribute to Sun Records”.
