Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

“I Heard It Through The Grapevine” is a song written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong and was first released by Gladys Knight and The Pips as a 1967 single.

It has been covered by many acts including:

Credence Clearwater Revival on their 1970 album “Cosmo’s Factory”.
