Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

Here are some cover versions of one song along with the original, let us know in the comments which is your favourite, or if you don’t like any of them.

“A Groovy Kind Of Love” is a song written by Carole Sager, Muzio Clementi and Toni White. It was first released by Dianne and Annita on their 1965 EP “One By One”.

It has been covered by several acts including:

The Mindbenders released their version as a 1965 single.

Petula Clark on her 1966 album “I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love”.

Sonny and Cher on their 1967 album “In Case You’re In Love”.

Les Gray on a 1977 single.

Phil Collins as a 1988 single and 1988 soundtrack to the film “Buster”.
