Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

Here are some cover versions of one song along with the original, let us know in the comments which is your favourite, or if you don’t like any of them.

“Louie Louie” is a song written and recorded/released by Richard Berry in 1957.

It has been recorded by many acts including:

The Kingsmen in 1963.

The Beach Boys on their 1964 album “Shut Down Volume 2”.

The Sonics went hard on their 1966 release.

Motörhead released their version in 1977.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in 1981.
