You can lead a leftist to facts, but you can’t make them see reality. Take the near-universal correlation across the West between mass immigration from the Middle-East and Africa and spiralling rates of rape and other crimes. ‘La-la-la-la-not-happening’ chant the leftists in unison. Facts be damned.

Even officialdom can’t tell the truth about their own statistics: police in Victoria flatly denied an over-representation of Africans in crime data. Yet, their own data showed the complete opposite. No doubt the rozzers were banking on their bourgie lefty audience simply not bothering to check the statistics for themselves. Let alone being capable of something as basic as calculating a rate-per-capita.

For *Good Oil* readers, here’s the magic formula that will cut through industrial-strength lefty bullshit: (Total/Subgroup) x 100,000\. Plug in the appropriate numbers and watch the truth appear magically before your eyes. For example, using New Zealand numbers: (NZ population, 4699755/Number of South-East Asian criminal offences, 16,595) x 100,000\. Result: 353 criminal offences for every 100,000 Asians. Now run the numbers for Europeans/Pākehā (407,121 offences) and Māori (481,243 offences). I’ll let you do the maths, instead of keeping all the fun to myself.

Now, with all this in mind, consider the following from the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, on *Why are so many North Africans involved in crimes?*

*Explained away* seems more to be the operative phrase. Journalist **Beat Stauffer** is all at sixes and sevens.

Well, apart from clearly intending to break the law by illegally entering the country.

Other than that, though, it’s all a mystery why nearly all of them immediately resort to crime once they’ve gatecrashed the country.

Committing crime is your ticket to a Swiss visa is an odd strategy, it must be said. But note that our flummoxed Swiss haven’t given a single actual reason to explain why criminality is so nearly-universal among Africans once they’ve crossed the Mediterranean.

Nor why the same pattern repeats itself, over and over, from Britain, to North America, to right here in Australia. It’s quite the mystery for the ages.

In the meantime, regardless of *why*, the brute fact of *what* is just a simple statistical calculation away.

At least, for those who want to see.
