It is hard not to find agreement with Health Minister Chris Hipkins‘s description of the actions of Michelle Boag and Hamish Walker.

Health Minister Chris Hipkins has unloaded on political operative Michelle Boag and former MP Hamish Walker after a report into the leaking of Covid-19 patient information, released today, found that it was a political act.

Mr Hipkins made the comments at this afternoon’s Covid-19 press briefing, where one new case in managed isolation was announced.

“This was a disgraceful and grubby act carried out by two National Party members for political purposes,” he said.

“They gave no thought to the stress and harm they may have caused the individuals as they hatched their plan to gain political advantage.”

Hopefully, her destructive and malign touch will no longer or ever again affect the National Party.

Her poison has now had major implications for the Helicopter Trust.

The Ministry of Health has dealt the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust a breach of contract notice over the leak of Covid-19 patient data.

It comes as an investigation into the leak – which claimed the careers of MP Hamish Walker and former National Party president Michelle Boag – was referred to the privacy commissioner on Thursday.

… Director-General of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said the Ministry of Health issued the breach of contract notice as per the legal requirements of its contract.

A breach of contract notice is a formal letter informing a party that they have breached an agreement and laying out the steps they must take to remedy that, and in what timeframe.

A disgraceful grubby act by a disgraceful grubby player.
