On Wednesday, on the radio, I heard a female voice expressing her dismay at the “trampling over of democracy” in Myanmar. As I was driving at the time, I quickly had to refocus my attention on the road, such was my stunned reaction that these words were coming from none other than Jacinda Ardern.

Really..?  Blind, hypocritical, ignorant or totally unaware of being all of these?

Yesterday I listened to what seemed to be the opening of the vent on the pressure cooker, with the general discussion and growing support for the scheduled protest by farmers today, and the indication that it may also be joined by many other people from varying walks of life, who have had enough of this government and its own trampling of OUR democracy.

For the first time since Labour was elected, I feel the beginning of a sense of elation and hope that maybe the frog in the pot has realised what’s happening to it.

I can’t remember ever feeling so constantly discouraged, depressed, angry and oppressed by an NZ government, until this current one. There are so many reasons to despise it.

I realise that I am saying nothing new in this forum, but I am encouraged that maybe now, we might be seeing the start of a groundswell of fightback, other than just via the BFD.

Please share so others can discover The BFD.
