ACT wasn’t primarily seeking a collection of individual policies. David Seymour was trying to change the machinery of government itself – education, regulation, resource management, public-sector accountability, central banking, tax and the relationship between parliament and the Treaty.

NZ First was not interested in ideologically driven policies but returning New Zealand to being One Country, One People, One law and, importantly, restoring industry and employment opportunities to rural areas.
