Eliora interviewed a Kiwi midwife who has recently abandoned New Zealand and taken her family to Mexico. This article is based on that interview.
Kiwis and people from around the world are moving to Mexico. Chartered planes and commercial airliner seats have been booked. This people movement is unique as the exodus is from Western countries such as New Zealand, Canada, the USA, and Australia. There are “heaps” of people quietly moving overseas, especially to Mexico, I was told. Parents are no longer willing to raise their families in countries with socialist governments. They are appalled with the political changes the leaders were imposing upon them, so decided to leave.
In New Zealand, the breaking point for some was the vaccine mandates. Shockingly, on Monday 15 November 2021, many New Zealanders lost their jobs over a jab.
Those who complied and got vaccinated remained employed. Doctors, nurses, teachers, and others were forced to leave their positions if they preferred to remain vaccine free.
Recently a newly unemployed New Zealand midwife faced poverty as she unexpectedly found herself without a pay cheque. She saw the vaccine as unsafe. She keenly felt the injustice of her job loss knowing that other countries had antigen tests so people could test themselves and remain working.
Incomprehensibly PM Jacinda Ardern would not allow the antigen tests to be imported. Her disdain for the plight of the midwife and others like her was made clear when while smirking and smugly nodding Ardern confirmed that the unvaccinated are second class citizens.
The midwife soon realised that there was no future for her family in this country when Ardern punished her further by denying her access to restaurants, cafes, hairdressers, sports, gyms, choirs, churches, cricket, concerts and other events, while the vaccinated wielding their Vax passes were able to retain access to all the rights, freedoms, and privileges that previously had belonged to the midwife as well.
The midwife realised that things were very bad and would even get worse when the media claimed that only 7 midwives had lost their jobs in her area. She knew for a fact that the true number was actually 27.
Research, soul searching, and prayer was undertaken. Mexico was chosen as an inexpensive country with few enforced Covid rules. The midwife’s family of 6 decided to sell up everything and join others in their exodus to Mexico. The hardest thing was saying their goodbyes to the dogs, cat, and 4 ponies. They only took two backpacks each.

While travelling, with delight they experienced what freedom was like again at a stop-over airport.
‘Shopping and eating out like normal people allowed, accepted and wanted’.
New Zealand had become a country they could no longer relate to. Callous, socialist, and segregated. Informed consent and freedom of choice for health decisions were non-existent.
Mexico will now benefit from the skills of this very experienced midwife. New Zealand’s loss is now Mexico’s gain.
