The media were all a flutter about what they perceived as the embarrassment of having the Deputy Prime Minister sued by various aggrieved parties. Even Chris Hipkins jumped onboard that passing car.
But Winston Peters laughed off legal threats from both Beijing Bob Carr and one hit wonder band Chumbawamba. Now he is laughing even more as neither law suit has materialised.
The scientist passed away at 93, but his malign ideas live on.
