Alyssa Milano, Dancing on the Graves of Victims

What is it with these ‘celebrities’ who think the world cares about their inane thoughts? And why do they think it is okay to use things like despicable murders to enhance their profile?

Only hours after the recent El Paso shooting took place, actress Alyssa Milano replied to a tweet from Wal Mart’s official Twitter account, in which the retail giant offered sympathy to victims of the attack, by saying,

“This would be a great opportunity for you to take a true leadership position and stop selling guns.”

Milano knows, just as most dedicated leftists and politicians know, you must never let a tragedy go by without trying to use it to further your own cause.

But actually, the headline here isn’t entirely correct. She wasn’t really dancing on the victim’s graves, I don’t believe their bodies had even been removed from the scene yet!

At least there are still a few clear-thinking people inhabiting the festering wasteland that is Twitter.

“They already don’t sell ARs, AKs, or handguns,” wrote one commenter.

“Hey @Alyssa_Milano it would be great if you didn’t attempt to politicize other people’s deaths for your preferred agenda. Depriving anyone of the right to self defense is wrong,” tweeted Libertarian Redhead, a popular libertarian Twitter personality.

“She’s had plenty of bodyguards with guns for protection though” states ‘Wally’.

But is it maybe a lack of comprehension from the Milano’s of this world?

Much like our local Mosque attack, the big soft wanna-be military type who carried out the El Paso attack came from a long way away. The attack only happened at Walmart because there were a lot of his intended victims there, and in a town that is literally right on the border. It is one that has an unenviable position as one of the worst areas in the USA for illegal immigration and Mexican gang crime.

Other tweeters pointed out the fact that Walmart had already stopped selling AR, AK and handguns back in 2015. It also seems that the weapon used by this guy had been obtained illegally and not from a Walmart, so Milano is really just victim-blaming.

Walmart, of course, have pretty strict policies in relation to firearm use and sales within their stores. They vary by state to state but in Texas at least, they currently ask to see the permit for all ‘open carry’ persons entering their premises with a weapon, won’t sell many types of firearms, have lifted their purchasing age to 21, require background checks, refuse to sell imitation firearms that resemble assault rifles and actively discourage people bringing weapons into their stores. None of this stopped this offender though, because criminals, by definition, tend to ignore the law.

The reality is, in El Paso, the shooter could’ve picked any street corner or gas station to make his demented point, but he didn’t, as he would have known that there would have been way more firearms pointing back at him if he had tried that.

I suspect it is possible that more people were gunned down in this situation because there might have been fewer people inside who could have responded with lethal force in self-defence.

Texas is a state unto itself though, and one thing you can pretty much guarantee is that there will be more firearms purchased for self-defence, there will be more permits applied for open and concealed carry and the chances of the next deranged murderer surviving will be just a little bit less.

In the meantime, scum like Tarrant and these American shooters will keep targeting innocent people and soft targets, and scum like Milano will carry on being protected by gun-toting guards while lecturing the rest of us on how to be better people, just like them.
