A quote from Winston Churchill applies to both Gaurav Sharma and Jacinda Ardern.
The first part of the quote says – “Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak.”
The second part says – “Courage is what it also takes to sit down and listen.”
The first part obviously applies to Dr Gaurav Sharma. This man came to Parliament, as many first-time politicians do, to make a difference. He chose Labour as the Party to stand for as he felt they best reflected what he stood for. Kindness and doing good for others. Helping those less advantaged than himself. He has learned a very harsh lesson. The Labour Party deserves to be hauled before the Advertising Standards Authority for misleading advertising in terms of what its brand stands for.
Dr Sharma has discovered the real Labour Party. A party devoid of scruples and moral compass. A party of cowards forced to become sheep to avoid the consequences Dr Sharma has had to suffer. A party that puts itself before the good of the country. A party so subsumed in its own ideology it has been unable to achieve anything of substance in its five-year tenure.
Labour is a party that doesn’t have the courage to sit down and listen.
The leadership is obsessed with imposing tyrannical rule on both the country and the party to the point that nothing else matters. Their sole aim is to enforce their brand of socialism on the country. The consequences of so doing are of no concern to them.
It’s “my way or the highway” as Dr Sharma has found out.
Ardern would have us believe that she leads the most transparent government ever. What is transparent about this Government, (and we need to thank Dr Sharma for confirming it), are the lies and the bullying. You only have had to watch Question Time to witness it. The Chief Bully (Mallard) who until now ran it, on the very afternoon he was being farewelled, was called out for his bullying by Dr Sharma.
Dr Sharma said when he sought help from Mallard he was told if he criticised any of his Labour colleagues, it would be the end of his career. According to Dr Sharma, Mallard then went straight to the Whips Office and told them Sharma had laid a complaint. Mallard of course has denied it so Dr Sharma made sure Mallard exited as he has spent most of his 35 years – in disgrace.
Mallard has spent most of his time as Speaker protecting his partner in crime, Ardern. She was rarely required to answer any question that was asked. Furthermore, she was allowed to show off the fact she possessed a certificate in communications by being given an inordinate amount of time to spout nonsense when giving an answer.
A psychologist will tell you that when confronting bullies, it’s important to have other people present to witness and support you and to keep a paper trail of the bully’s inappropriate behaviour. This, Dr Sharma has done. Labour has failed to do the same and, thanks again to Dr Sharma, we now know why. They have denied all accusations of bullying and made the whole thing about workplace issues in Dr Sharma’s office, blaming those issues on him.
He in fact, originally brought the issues up about a worker who was underperforming. Knowing Dr Sharma had them in a spot of bother by demanding an inquiry, their bully persona kicked in and they decided that attack was the best form of defence.
Labour offered mediation to avoid an inquiry where the door would be opened and a cupboard full of skeletons would fall out. Ardern is now trying to say that Dr Sharma’s expulsion from the party is the end of the matter. I doubt it. She is dealing with a person of principle (unlike herself). He is still there and now, thanks to her, politically unencumbered.
Labour has brought all of this upon themselves. They need to be gone.
