How much more proof do we need before we face the truth that our universities are broken beyond repair? White-anted by the Long March Left until they’re not just useless, but actually inimical?
As I’ve written recently, a major reason our educational standards are collapsing is because teachers are taught so badly. Everything is salted with a poisonous, suffocating smug of Marxist garbage, especially obsessed with race.
“In order to pass [the teaching course], you literally had to write: ‘Before I learned about this, this, and this in my cultural study subject, I had racial beliefs and racial views. I was a racist, pretty much. And now over this semester that I’ve learned this, this, and this, I’m no longer a racist and I’m going to be a teacher who’s not racist.’”
Boding even more ill for the future is the teaching of law. Future lawyers – some of whom will one day be future KCs and judges – are literally passed on whether or not they can perform a convincing ‘Welcome to Country’ or ‘Traditional Acknowledgement’.
Like the good, old-fashioned communist Struggle Session that it is, anyone game enough to dissent is targeted for retribution. Literally.
A University of Queensland law lecturer berated first year, first semester law students for “protesting against my inclusion of indigenous perspectives” in a lecture, warning those students that she remembered their faces and that they should “watch out what you say and what you do” if they wanted to do well in their law degree.
During a Foundations of Law lecture in March 2024, senior lecturer Dani Linder claimed “tens of” students had walked out of a previous lecture when her lecture turned to Indigenous Australian legal history.
She makes no bones that she’s snitching the counter-revolutionaries to the Central Committee – and there will be punishment.
In her UQ lecture last year, Dr Linder went on to warn those students: “Watch what you say and what you do […] I remember the faces that got up and walked out.
“I can tell you now if you want to get involved in any work while you’re doing your law degree, you’re not going to get hired and you’re not going to last if this is the type of behaviour that you’re engaging with.
“There’s been barristers that have become aware of this this week that frequently try and engage UQ law students that are like, we’re sick of it, we want students to be likeable, you don’t even need to have necessarily the top marks.”
There’s only one possible way that barristers could have ‘become aware’: their blond-haired, blue-eyed ‘indigenous’ lecturer snitched.
The university did not provide examples of the “racist comments” Dr Linder had claimed, and did not say on what basis she thought students left the lecture to protest her inclusion of Indigenous Australian legal history in the lecture […]
More broadly, the student said they thought Dr Linder’s warnings about doing “well in your law degree” and about barristers in the workforce being concerned amounted to Dr Linder telling the class that “I control your futures”.
It’s not just UQ. At Macquarie University, law students are marked on how ‘sincerely’ they deliver an acknowledgement of country and were made to go through a ‘privilege walk’ in class. At Monash University, law students are forced to critique their thesis ‘based on Marxist, feminist, critical race and queer theory’.
It comes as Macquarie University’s vice-chancellor ordered a review of its law school practices after students said their course had become hijacked by a political ideology that was damaging to their education, with revelations law students faced the threat of failing one part of an exam if they performed an underwhelming acknowledgment of country.
Monash PhD students are required to complete 120 hours of compulsory research skills training in part from “critical legal studies, international law and theory, feminism and philosophy”. The Australian understands Monash Law’s Critical Legal Studies looks at the relationship between law, power and politics.
That ‘philosophy’ is, of course, a toxic stew of Marxism, postmodernism/poststructuralism, feminism, queer theory, critical race theory and critical disability theory. Marx is required reading, as is ‘gender theory’ founder and paedophilia apologist Judith Butler.
Do we really want our legal system, in a few years’ or a decade’s time, run by people brainwashed with this poisonous garbage?
