Auckland Gives the Left the Spanish Archer

Labour’s Stranglehold give the spanish Archer

The local body elections have been an absolute bloodbath, and the blood is flowing exclusively from the left; from those who sold out their regions to co-governance and Phil Goff’s rapacious rates grabs. Aucklanders gave the left wing the Spanish Archer: the El Bow.

Aucklanders are sick to death of condescending left-wing tossers taking advantage of them and taking diabolical liberties, like foisting gay cycle lanes on them reducing the space on the roads for the cars that actually pay for them. We also really don’t like subsidising inefficient shitty public transport.

Politicians who propose free public transport get rinsed. Politicians who sell out their communities get rinsed. Politicians who promote the Wellington elites’ wet dreams get rinsed. Politicians who were highlighted and promoted by Simon Wilson at the NZ Herald or the wet fools at The Spinoff got rinsed. Not to mention those who are soft on crime and won’t do anything to help beleaguered businesses.

Consequently, Efeso Collins got rinsed, massively. Beth Houlbrooke, who betrayed Rodney, was found wanting by the voters. Pippa Coom, whom Simon Wilson waxed lyrical about and gave 9 out of 10, was rinsed in favour of the eminently sensible and experienced Mike Lee. Transport Minister Michael Wood’s miserable, pinch-faced missus, Julie Fairey, got rinsed after Aucklanders soundingly rejected her husband’s transport disasters, like the cycle bridge boondoggle and light rail failings.

Right across Auckland, except for the deep south, where voters would vote for a giant douche or even a turd sandwich so long as it wore a red rosette.

In Puketapapa, one of the most persistent infestations of socialist wombles lost two of the four board members to the centre right.

The only dark red stain on the elections was the re-election of the Labour flunkies on the North Shore. There really must be something in the water there.

Those who have constantly pushed policies against the ratepayers’ interests have been flushed down Auckland’s Central Interceptor sewage system.

It has been a long time coming and finally, the day of reckoning is here.

We have learned several things though. Getting endorsed by Simon Wilson is electoral poison. Getting endorsed by Jacinda Ardern is also electoral poison.

People are angry and they’ve taken the first chance they’ve had to express this anger. That is a terrible signal for Labour going into election year next year. Will they listen? Not likely.

Bring it on.
