During Macron’s speech, at the point where he stated France would recognise a Palestinian state, a number of delegations stood and gave a standing ovation. NEW ZEALAND WAS NOT ONE OF THEM, remaining seated and giving no applause.
These types must not be allowed to succeed and Europe must ensure, along with America, that they don’t. A global conflict could well ensue, but, as in earlier wars, it is a price we pay to root out evil.
The political left, along with their global counterparts, no longer represent democracy. They deserve to become political pariahs.
The world is in a very dark place right now. If the next global conflict comes to pass, there will be a recalibration at the end of it.
They are both in the same waka and paddling furiously for Māori dominance.
The upshot is Luxon will be saved, to some degree, by what the alternative is.
We are witnessing what a left-wing government will look like and the ensuing dire consequences for the country. Hipkins will simply cave or the radicals will bring him down. They won’t be there to protect Hipkins or keep him in power.
It is what Israel is having to deal with, on behalf of the Western world, that Luxon should take into account when agonising over his decision. If he were realistic about where things currently sit in the Middle East, he could spare himself the mental trauma he is putting himself through.
In the real world of business there is no room for hurty feelings or distress. If you’re not performing, you are shown the door. No knight is coming to your rescue. You rise or fall on your ability to perform. This is 2025 and the organisation should reflect that in the way it presents itself.
This is an untenable situation for us, the taxpayers who have to foot the bill for this outfit that appears lost in its own leftist bubble.
Anyone who shies away from public accountability is not to be trusted. If you can’t speak to your behaviour in a public setting then you lack the courage of your convictions. That is not an honourable trait if you are in public office.
The key to it is to, as far as possible, obliterate Hamas. The war must continue until Israel finishes the job. Only then will a brighter future be possible for the Palestinian people.
It is on the negative front where the voters emphasis is placed and the things people voted for are not happening. This is dragging the government down.
Here’s the reality for Christopher Luxon and the National party. They can bang on about the good work they are doing all they like but they will find their low poll numbers will continue. The only way they will improve is by giving their voter base what they want.
Their failure to discern what their problem is tells you a lot about their overall capabilities or lack thereof.
Having to spend two terms of government looking at the front of her, most were more than pleased to see the back of her.
