It’s a well-known fact that nobody is allowed to talk about, that transgenderism is heavily correlated with a range of mental health issues. Indeed, more and more psychologists are summoning the courage to publicly state the grim truth: “gender dysphoria” is not a standalone condition, it’s a co-morbidity. In which case, the best therapy is to treat the underlying condition, not chemically and surgically castrate and mutilate children.

But mentally troubled children are one thing — adults who are quite clearly mentally deranged fetishists are quite another.

Thankfully, not every government is so under the heel of the rainbow jackboot that they can’t bring themselves to point out the obvious.

On Wednesday, the health ministry of Peru formally announced that all people who identify as “transgender” or “non-binary” will now be classified as “mentally ill.”

And, in other news, Peru’s weather service has announced that water is wet.

As reported by the Daily Caller, President Dina Boluarte signed the decree, which declares that “transsexualism, dual-role transvestism, gender identity disorder in childhood, other gender identity disorders and fetishistic transvestism” will all be considered mental illnesses by the government going forward. As such, Peruvians suffering from these conditions will now be “guaranteed full coverage of medical attention for mental health.”

This is all part of a growing pushback against the imposition of transgender ideology.

Although transgenderism was largely forced upon the world and accepted without question for roughly the last decade, recent studies have shown that such a belief is a temporary mental illness rather than a permanent identity. A study by KHN found that, among all children who believe themselves to be “trans,” anywhere from 65% to 94% ultimately abandon these delusions by the time they reach adulthood

The return to common sense, though, is too late for a generation of mutilated children.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Latin America, Argentina’s Javier Milei continues to annoy all the right people.

And certain first ladies do protesteth too much.

A full-blown diplomatic clash has erupted between Spain and Argentina, with Madrid recalling its ambassador to Buenos Aires after libertarian firebrand Javier Milei joked about the corruption accusations against the wife of Spanish socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez over the weekend.

Except that Milei never actually named her. He only referred to “the corrupt woman”.

But a guilty conscience, as my mother always said, needs no accusing.

Sanchez was seemingly so triggered by President Milei’s jibes that he refused to even refer to the president by name.

Who on earth could “the corrupt woman” be? In recent months, Sanchez’s wife, First Lady Begona Gomez, has been mired in allegations that she used her position to secure government contracts for her business partners. Sanchez briefly hinted at resignation, but ultimately decided to hang on, attacking so-called “mud machine” online media for allegedly spreading “disinformation”.

Perhaps predicting the backlash against his remarks, Milei defended his blunt approach towards diplomacy during his speech on Sunday, saying: “I don’t give a damn about the leftist opinion […] Never forget that the damn socialists murdered 150 million human beings,” he said. “Socialism necessarily leads to slavery and death. Opening the door to socialism is inviting death.”
