One of the biggest surprises of the Cabinet reshuffle is Nanaia Mahuta being handed the portfolio of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
She will be the first woman to ever hold the role in New Zealand.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern praised Mahuta’s ability to build strong relationships quickly, which will be key on the world stage.
