The Titirangi Post Shop is closing down permanently due to constant attacks, but don’t worry, according to the government we are all just imagining the crime anyway, so it’s all good.

A West Auckland community will lose its only NZ Post shop after repeated ram raids and break-ins forced its owners to shut their doors.

The owners of Titirangi Lotto and Post Shop are quitting after decades of running their business – frustrated by repeat destructive raids targeting their store.

“We have been in business for 20 years here … that’s the sad part,” owner Aboli Bhave told the Herald today.

The store was hit a seventh time in April by thieves and that was the last straw, Bhave said.

“We were thinking what to do and then we came to the decision we won’t take it any more. I am sick of all the crime and sick of the justice system.”
