Well, our billion-plus tax dollars per year have at last delivered something worth writing home about: the taxpayer-funded Marxist collective of Ultimo ABC has finally come to the attention of the real “most trusted news service” – Not The Bee.
This is the super-woke Australian version of ABC News.
They would have you believe that people are marrying off their underage daughters to pedophiles because of the evil sun monster.
With gritted teeth, the ABC journalist (who, as Not The Bee point out, looks exactly as you’d expect her to) admits the number of tropical storms “is not believed to be increasing”. I guess that’s a lot easier than admitting, ‘There was never a scintilla of evidence otherwise, but we just lied through our teeth to gaslight you for decades.’ Then she sails right on to lie through her teeth, again.
“Warmer atmosphere and rising sea temperatures and levels are increasing their intensity, and the impact they have on communities.”

This is, naturally, complete and utter bollocks. Check this graph showing Global Tropical Cyclone Accumulated Cyclone Energy (ACE). Note that the graph creator hasn’t included a trendline? Funny that.
Because when you add a trendline, in this case for just the Global trend (I couldn’t be arsed entering three lots of data!), it immediately shows that the trend over the last 45 years is down.

Climate Cultists: can they tell the truth about anything?
Anyhoo, back to the allegedly weather-induced kiddly-fiddlers. Today’s forecast is for light drizzle accompanied by five child marriages in Lakemba.
After a natural disaster in Bangladesh, child marriages can surge by up to 39 per cent, according to the International Rescue Committee. South Asia, one of the most vulnerable regions to the impacts of climate change, accounts for most of the world's child marriages.
Looks like Jeffrey Epstein missed out on the get-out-of-jail plea for the ages: ‘Not guilty, yer honour – it was drizzling out!’
As William Blake wrote, “A truth that’s told with bad intent, beats all the lies you can invent.”
Like most media lies, there’s a seed of truth screaming under the mountain of deceit. Financial disasters, like storms that wreck buildings and farms, cause people to sell off their assets in order to survive. But there are a few questions about these ‘climate refugees’ that the propagandists at the ABC completely ignore. They ignore the fact that Americans endured Hurricanes Katrina, Harvey and Ian, without selling off their daughters en masse. They ignore the fact that storms have wrecked cities in SE Asia for all of human history.
They don’t even ask why these families think selling off their children is even acceptable.
They just throw stats like this out there:
“Bangladesh has the highest rate in Asia according to Plan International, with more than 50 per cent of girls married before they turn 18.”
Gee, I wonder what context would be helpful in this situation, hmm??
You know: starts with “I”, ends with “slam”.
It reminds Not the Bee of this viral story from the ABC’s socialist maiden aunt, the BBC in May:
“Selling children to survive: Afghan fathers forced to make impossible choices.”
They were “forced” to sell their daughters, you see. “Forced”!
Fortunately, X users hit right back with the best thing from Elon Musk since DOGE: the ol’ reliable, community notes.
BBC frames Afghan fathers selling daughters as sympathetic. All profiled cases involve girls (e.g., five-year-olds). Selling daughters for marriage is a longstanding cultural practice in parts of Afghanistan. BBC focuses on fathers’ distress over outcomes for the girls (rape).
In true Islamic fashion, of course, the Beeb didn’t bother to ask the girls’ opinions.
Like Islamic countries, from Morocco to Britain, child marriage is endemic. In the 19th century, British censuses showed 13 as the mean age of marriage for girls in what is now Bangladesh, which, to be fair, made them old maids, as far as Muhammad was concerned.
But I’m sure the ABC will blame that on the simoom, or something.
