We are a gullible lot, seemingly oblivious to the craziness displayed by the political unknowns who trotted into parliament off the party list in 2017. Bob Jones calls them en masse “disastrous” “no hopers”.
The wannabees arrived clutching their favourite hobby horses. For Green MP Julie Anne Genter it was a bicycle that she rode to hospital to give birth. Given the reverence heaped on her bicycle it may have had the best view of the birth in the delivery room but Genter’s unhinged fixation with bicycles is more than a harmless obsession; it has cost millions in unused cycle ways demonstrating the symmetry between Greenies and their pipe dreams.
Green MP Chloe Swarbrick’s pipe dream is legalising marijuana. She is highly ambitious, inexperienced and delusional about prioritising marijuana’s legality when the country struggles with the financial consequences of lock down and border closure.
The 2017 election was a voter eye opener to the havoc wreaked by minor parties who determined who made up the government and what they did when they got there. That alone should give voters pause for thought in 2020.
The biggest (and most expensive) scam is a toss-up between the COVID global pandemic and man-made CO2 causing global warming.
Media and politicians pull the wool over our eyes with invented buzz words. Here’s my take on a selection.
Black Lives Matter
At face value BLM makes perfect sense but subsequent events in the US revealed a disturbing agenda far from racial equality. Initially, sincere New Zealanders were sucked into peaceful protests until BLM revealed its sinister roots with serious destruction of lives and property. Trump classified Antifa a terrorist organisation and the notion of white privilege lost ground in the US after both black and white alike fought back.
Climate Change
Politicians and media alike peddle the fallacy of man-made CO2 causing global warming. Despite push back from scientists refuting the global warming scam, the Greens have no option but to keep it alive or lose the foundation stone of their existence.
In 2016 scientists acknowledged global warming but since then CO2 has been vindicated as life’s fundamental building block. Scientists opposed to global warming/climate change argue we are in a grand solar minimum evidenced by extreme temperatures and extreme weather events such as last week’s unseasonable snowfalls.
“The previous grand solar minimum was Maunder minimum (1645–1710), and the other one before named Wolf minimum (1270–1350)”.
A consensus about anthropogenic global warming is unlikely when politicians and media favour politics over science (see weather bomb). Terry Dunleavy writing for The BFD reviewed the movie “Climate Hustle 2” which identifies the movers and shakers behind the climate change swindle.
“The campaign had to change its name from “global warming” to “climate change” early in the new millennium when the warming from an unusually active El Niño of the late 1990s turned into prolonged cooling.”
Critical Race Theory
This is racism at an intellectual level (but not if you are Mihingarangi Forbes who suggested a statue of Maori leader Princess Te Puea Herangi instead of Kate Shepherd to celebrate emancipation). Olivia Pierson notes Trump was stopped from pursuing a debate on CRT during his first US presidential election debate.
“CRT: The view that the law and legal institutions are inherently racist and that race itself, instead of being biologically grounded and natural, is a socially constructed concept that is used by white people to further their economic and political interests at the expense of people of colour.”
Death Spiral
This lie was used recently to counter the National Party’s slight rise in the polls. Tova O’Brien contradicted the truth about the Nats’ upward polling twice: first by misquoting Judith Collins, saying “she [Judith] once said 35% is her sacking point” when Collins actually said “Once things start getting under 35 per cent people start saying ‘can we win?'” O’Brien then said, “National is in a classic opposition party death spiral — we saw it with Labour to varying degrees for nine years” — also untrue because National polled up two points from 31% to 33%. A slight bump upwards in the polls is a death spiral?
Eco-anxiety
A psychological malfunction in children indoctrinated with climate change. Despite patient zero Greta Thunberg’s diagnosis of “high-functioning” autism (Asperger’s) and obsessive-compulsive disorder when she stopped talking and eating, she is the climate change poster girl. Our government is well down the climate change indoctrination path. Teachers can access materials to handle the resulting eco-anxiety and “learn how their [student’s] feelings can be used for action and alter negative self-talk.” Feelings over science sums up climate change and its effectiveness on hormonally charged teenagers. Government literature targets 11-15-year-olds. Parents best prepare to counter a generation of emotional, rabid protesters compliments of state schooling.
Global Pandemic
The WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Gheyesus estimated in March that COVID-19 would kill 3.4% of people who caught it. At that time President Trump said “I think the 3.4 per cent number is really a false number. Now, this is just my hunch, but based on a lot of conversations … personally, I’d say the number is way under 1 per cent.” Well, guess who turned out to be right, the ‘health expert’ or the much-maligned Trump? NZ media refuse to credit Trump for his swift action against COVID and for questioning WHO’s estimates. Our PM was sucked in big time, still peddling fear with “tricky virus” comments.
Lockdown
If you still think lockdown saved us from excessive COVID deaths consider this: had we actually gone hard and early with ring-fencing the elderly and putting returning citizens into quarantine THERE WOULD BE NO NEED FOR LOCKDOWN. Quarantine and contact tracing means butchers and greengrocers stay open and service operators keep trading. The economic fallout from border closure would depress the economy but nothing like what lockdown did. Sweden and Taiwan refused to lock down and their COVID tapered off in the same pattern ours did. Nevertheless, our source of all COVID knowledge pursues elimination based on the prospect of a vaccine.
An analysis by Israeli scientist Isaac Ben-Israel shows that the COVID-19 pandemic would run its course despite lockdowns or similar measures.
Renewable Energy
The arguments for solar, wind and water energy are reliant on batteries so not as clean or green as presented nor free nor cheap because green technology is not there yet. More pie in the sky from the unrealistic Greens.
Research Shows, Scientific Consensus and Trusted Experts and Sources
Media love these sound bites thinking we are very easily befuddled and fooled by scientific tags.
Weather Bomb
NZ’s week of unseasonable snow and extremely cold weather demonstrates our entry into a period known as a grand solar minimum (see climate change). Media invented the weather bomb rather than explain the politically correct but completely wrong global warming theory that doesn’t stack up with actual weather. Rather than admit there is no global warming they invent the weather bomb. They really do think we’re stupid.
Without Evidence
Who can argue with a politically biased media picking and choosing facts and refusing to debate them? (See CRT). MSM reporting this week on the election debates (Trump is bad, Collins is a bully) had a predetermined effect on the media-indoctrinated NZ public who expect calamity to follow both Trump and Collins.
