In 2015, the Democrat party machine did everything it could to make sure that its favourite swamp monster Hillary Clinton got the presidential nomination. No matter what the party rank-and-file wanted.
What the rank-and-file wanted was Bernie Sanders. So the DNC did whatever they had to, whether it was rigging primaries, or any other number of dirty tricks, to make sure that Clinton got what she had decided she was entitled to.
Four years later, and the dirty tricks are rolling out again. Of course, even Clinton isn’t deluded enough to think that she actually has a shot, this time. Instead, the DNC is greasing the skids for Hillary 2.0, the World’s Fakest Indian, Elizabeth Warren.
Once again, their primary target is the doddering commie.
Hillary Clinton has made an outspoken attack on Bernie Sanders, her former rival who is a frontrunner for this year’s Democratic presidential nomination, declaring: “Nobody likes him.”
Which is quite probably true, at least as far as the Democrat party is concerned. After all, Sanders only opportunistically hitched his red star to the Democrats in 2015, when it suited him.
Still, one has to wonder whether Clinton has ever looked in a mirror.
Mrs Clinton, 72, who narrowly defeated the senator for Vermont in 2016 before losing to President Trump, described Mr Sanders as a “career politician”, suggesting that his passion for the causes he espouses was “just baloney”.
Again: look in the mirror, drunk grandma.
And, of course, no Hillary hatchet-job would be complete without playing the fem-card.
She added that Mr Sanders, 78, and his team were particularly hostile to women […]
Mrs Clinton said in the documentary for the Hulu television network: “He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done.”
Apart from parroting Warren’s so-far-unsubstantiated claim, Clinton’s assessment of Sanders’s career achievements seems pretty accurate. But, since when has a track-record of doing nothing but getting rich from politics ever been an issue for a socialist?
It’s ludicrous to complain about Sanders “dragging the party to the left”, given their obvious preference for the demented socialist, Warren – who is basically just Bernie in a fake feathered headdress.
Mrs Clinton’s comments, made in a documentary about her 2016 campaign that has yet to be released, will be regarded as the latest sign that the Democratic establishment is terrified that Mr Sanders will win the nomination and take the party to the left […] Mr Sanders recorded the best fundraising figures of any candidate. He has held on to second place in most polls behind Joe Biden, the centrist former vice-president.
And that’s what’s got the party machine worried. Biden is almost certainly going to be tainted badly by the Trump impeachment. Indeed, the conspiratorial-minded might suggest that nobbling Biden is the real intent of an impeachment which even the Democrats must know will fail.
With Biden dealt with, the last thing the DNC wants is a fossilised communist standing in the way of their anointed candidate. Which is understandable, in many ways.
But the fact remains that this is supposed to be a democratic race, not an oligarchy. If it’s Sanders the party faithful want, then, for better or worse, Sanders it should be.
