New from the legend the is A.J Fernandez is the Días de Gloria, said to be a throwback to the good ol’ days of Cuba.
“These are the four oldest farms I own,” says Fernandez, “and I’ve been setting aside tobacco from each farm and aging it for years for this blend. I want everyone to enjoy it like the glory days of old Cuba”
Generally I say that if it’s from A.J Fernandez then I’m going to enjoy it…but then I also generally say that is it’s “Cubanesque” then it going to be rubbish… so I’m not really sure what to say about this yet. Let’s take a look at what makes this stick up and then get into it and see what’s what.

Hmmm not a lot of info there really aye but what we do know is the tobacco used is from A.J. Fernandez’s four oldest Estelí, Nicaraguan farms: La Soledad, La Providencia 1, La Lilia and Finca Los Cedros.
It’s also important to note that some of the tobaccos used to make this special cigar have been aged for up to seven years and that none of the tobacco used in this cigar is actually from Cuba…Yes!
So, let’s get into it aye,

Construction & Burn
Construction is flawless as you expect from A.J, burn is great, no issues even in this bizarre spring weather.
Flavour & Complexity
Flavour wise I’m getting wood, fruit and cream with a hint of spice to finish. Complexity is good, the aged tobacco really shines and gives it a fantastic mellow depth.
Strength
It’s a solid mid strength I feel. Kicks up a little at the end perfectly but not overpowering throughout.
Overall
Damn! This is one great cigar. You really can’t beat aged tobacco aye. To me, there is nothing Cubanesque about this stick, but then I’m not sure I ever smoked a good Cuban cigar from the era A.J is channeling in this either…this for me is a solid, aged nica puro at its finest. I give it 93 points! You want to try this cigar.
