Parris Goebel culturally appropriated another country and people’s cause yesterday and in doing so gave the big middle finger to Jacinda Ardern and her “team of 5 Million.”
How yesterday’s protest was handled revealed how real the threat against New Zealand lives from COVID-19 really is.
The protest by its very nature flouted the level 2 restrictions and abandoned all the social distancing guidelines. Just like the iwi and gang run roadblocks, however, the rule-breaking will be tolerated and the police will do nothing.
It is 1pm on the Monday as I type this and I just know that no one will expect Parris and her vapid followers to follow the rules.
This shows us that what Ardern is forcing law abiding New Zealanders and their businesses to do is all about control and not about a real threat. If we were truly in danger then the protest would not be allowed to go ahead.
She is hurting businesses further to save face. She is choosing to keep the farce of the levels alive rather than admit that she made a terrible mistake based on a completely flawed model.
The continued damage to businesses is despicable. How dare she keep this farcical charade going while letting airheads like Parris flout the rules.
Parris and her woke followers don’t care about Ardern telling them to “Stay the course” or “be kind”.
Ardern is not going to shut down a Black Lives Matter protest even if it makes her look like the worst kind of hypocrite because she is terrified of being called a racist.
However, the PM can’t have it both ways. She is either protecting New Zealanders from a deadly threat or she isn’t. By allowing the protest to go ahead she tacitly is admitting that the threat does not exist.
She no longer has any justification for keeping New Zealand in level 2 or in fact level 1. The levels need to be thrown into the dustbin of history where they belong.
She gave the NZ Police the unprecedented right to enter our homes without a warrant, yet she allowed the protest to go ahead.
New Zealand lives matter and even more importantly our rights matter. This two-tier system, where iwi and ‘progressive’ protest are not held to the same legal standards as everyone else, is completely wrong and should not be happening in a free and democratic country.
Shame on Jacinda Ardern. Shame.
