I personally believe we need to wipe feral cats off the face of Aotearoa New Zealand, and help give our kiwi a chance.
I know nobody else wants to be this blunt, but I’m happy to. Kiwi need to live, feral cats need to die.
We make a lot of noise about kiwi. We use them for our branding. We call ourselves by their name. The least we can do is stop taking them for granted and start protecting them.
So let’s take a moment to appreciate our national bird and just think “How Good?” are our kiwi and how good would it be if they had less predators.
