In the latest podcast for her lifestyle brand Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow sat down with Agatha All Along star Kathryn Hahn to discuss life, relationships and careers.
While discussing her wedding, Hahn said it was a non-traditional ritual involving “a legitimately holy person”.
The night before the ceremony, the couple were told to sew an important message onto a wedding coat.
The celebrant then revealed he also did divorce ceremonies, where the couple could come together and “unpick” the message they had sewed on.
“How many have done that?” she asked him. “He was like ‘no one’.”
That sparked a memory for Paltrow who said she had a “Māori divorce ceremony” with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
