A teacher is under investigation amid “serious concerns” about his conduct towards a student.
Horowhenua College says it has received allegations about Asaria Saili, also known as Matua Ria, and a confidential “employment process and corresponding investigation” is ongoing.
While he’s listed on the Levin school’s website as a language teacher and Pacific Dean, he’s not currently teaching, the principal says.
The Teaching Council says it’s been notified of “serious concerns” about Saili which have been referred “to the appropriate statutory process”.
