National leader Judith Collins has got in on the early voting action casting her ballot in Auckland’s Tamaki.
Collins, who stands in the Papakura electorate, lives in Tamaki, a seat comfortable held by National MP Simon O’Connor.
She arrived about 11 am to place her vote at St Thomas Tamaki, stopping in the chapel to offer a prayer before going in to vote.

I don’t know why the Media decided to publish this photo of Judith Collins praying before she voted. I suspect that they think her Christianity will be seen as a negative in contrast to the “progressive” Jacinda Ardern.

I think it will have the opposite effect as it may well bring some undecided voters home to National.
