Kiwi weightlifter Laurel Hubbard will make history at the Tokyo Olympics by becoming the first biological male athlete to compete in the female competition at the Games.
Hubbard’s gold medal wins at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa, where Laurel beat Samoa’s Commonwealth Games champion Feagaiga Stowers, sparked outrage in the island nation.
