Could you imagine having each of your fingernails ripped out with pliers and then the perpetrator appears on Australian television claiming how happy and excited you are in New Zealand where she has just announced that she has provided you with a bottle of nail polish to make up for your previous discomfort?

That woman destroyed the tourist and hospitality industry. She now parades herself as some sort of heroine by allowing Australians to visit. Returning to normal? She never left her normal. Her bank account has soared by $10,000 per week while the rest of the country’s small businesses suffered substantial collapses with the owners enduring the tyranny of the monumental personal and emotional consequences.

The most sickening thing is that she has control over five million citizens. Such authority has no place in the hands of one whose CV exposes an entrenched indoctrination so foreign to New Zealander’s way of life. Her CV is otherwise a black canvas. Couple that with her need to congratulate herself at every opportunity. This woman should be marched up to the CBD in Auckland to view the damage her policies have inflicted on the hundreds of boarded up small businesses and the ruined lives they represent.

The backbone of the New Zealand economy are those who work the land. Those who provide lamb, beef and dairy products. Those who grow our crops, grains, fruits and vegetables and those who cultivate our grapes producing outstanding wines. All this achieved in spite of labour shortages and outrageous legislation aimed at these industries with the bizarre desire to eliminate the farce that is global warming.

They keep on saving New Zealand’s butt in spite of that woman’s desire to cripple our capitalist way of life. The only thing this woman has produced is hardship, misery and division.

Her legacy is that of a nobody who achieved nothing positive. Politics can be cruel. It can also be a licence to decimate a country’s way of life. In that, she has been successful.

In Westminster systems, the courts are supposed to act as apolitical arbiters of existing laws. David Seymour’s Treaty Principles Bill has highlighted a profound tension at the heart of our democracy.
