National leader Christopher Luxon’s preferred prime minister polling has fallen to a new low, hitting 23 per cent in the latest Talbot Mills poll.
This represents a fall of 4 points from last month’s poll and one point lower than his prior worst performance, which was 24 in September and October last year.
New Labour leader Chris Hipkins continues to climb, hitting 39 per cent, up four points on the last poll.

If the product is good, you don’t need sweary opinion writers. The swearing is just reason 1,001 not to read Stuff – except to be impressed by just how far it can fall.
We need to understand what we are capable of. The unbelievably monstrous evil. And the courage. And the humanity that somehow survived inside it. Just go. You will not regret it.
If the planet were the priority, the pamphlet would lead with rivers, soil, fish and power that actually stays on. But, no: it leads with who owns the grocery aisle and who pays 45 per cent.
