The Media have been gunning for Israel Folau and now that they have got hold of footage of comments he made while in church they are going to make the most of them. He didn’t make them publicly or on social media. He made them in church but that is not going to stop the media generating as much outrage and offence as possible.
He popped his head above the parapet and the media have shot it off. No doubt they will ride this story for weeks.

This is what I’d call the government spending spiral – a self-reinforcing doom loop where each dollar spent justifies even more spending. PepsiCo alone spent $2.8 million last year lobbying to keep their highly processed junk food eligible for food stamps.
We can’t recapture the $16 trillion wasted on a false crisis. Sunk costs are, alas, sunk. The one sliver of good news is that it appears the climate change neuroses have finally started to subside.
There’s nothing stopping the government banning ‘ISIS brides’ – except the will to do it.
