After he and his ministry were sworn in this morning at Government House, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said their first focus would be to polish off National’s 100-day plan to put it into action this week.

The 100-day plan covered a range of topics, from health to cyclone recovery and law and order. It outlined the urgent changes the new government wanted to put in place.

Some of that plan had been amended through the coalition agreements with NZ First and ACT, but apart from stated changes all three parties have agreed to implement the policy document.

Luxon, speaking to reporters at Government House, said Cabinet would meet on Tuesday and Wednesday to action this plan.

“Our focus for this week is putting our 100-day plan into action and to have that signed off by Cabinet,” Luxon said.
