Fair & Reasonable Campaign UPDATE

Nicole McKee
Spokesperson
Fair and Reasonable Campaign

It’s been another busy week on the campaign fighting for fair and reasonable firearms law reform, as we defend the rights of responsible firearms owners like you from overly restrictive and counterproductive changes to firearms laws.

2019 Police trust and confidence survey

Effective firearms laws depend on mutual trust and respect between the firearms community and the Police.  That’s why COLFO started surveying members of the firearms community last year to assess the health of that relationship.

A heck of a lot has happened over the last few months, with the rushed changes to the law, the buyback and the increased arming of the Police.

We are now repeating the survey, and invite you to participate in the two-minute survey by clicking here.

Join us in Wellington for a demonstration standing up for rural voices

Next Thursday 14 November COLFO will be in Wellington, joining voices with the “50 Shades of Green” pressure group to march on Parliament.

The purpose of the protest is to make the voices of rural communities heard. Across a number of fronts, with firearms law being just one, the Government appears to be targeting rural communities and lifestyles. So we are encouraging our members and supporters to join in on this march.

COLFO will be manning an information stall on the grounds of Parliament where signage, caps, public information brochures and flags will ensure firearms owners are visible in their solidarity with farmers and rural communities.

More information available on the ’50 Shades of Green’ website and on our Facebook event page.

The group will be meeting at 11 am at Wellington’s Civic Square. We plan to arrive on Parliament’s grounds at about 1 pm.

Hope to see you there, and thank you for your support.
